Zion 2009
I think the first post we published on this blog was about our Zion trip last year. And just over one year later, we were back down there, and LOVING it!
This year we went down with another couple from our ward and were finally able to hike The Narrows! We were NOT disappointed! Jordan even said, multiple times, that it was the best, his favorite, etc...hike he'd been on!
In addition to The Narrows, we hiked to Weeping Rock,
Court of the Patriarchs
and the Watchman Trail.
All were very pretty!
Thanks, Day's for coming with us, making yummy food, and bringing great conversation!
We had a blast!
One concert after another...
Jordan and I went to the George Strait concert on a Friday, and the next night I got together with one of my best friends from high school and went and saw The Fray! It was a great concert (aside from the lame duck crowd we were surrounded by), and it was alot of fun to get caught up with Alison! It's amazing how, when you're really great friends, the moment you get together, the conversation picks up just like it was yesterday that you spoke last...even if it has been several months, and our hair's a different color now and we're driving different cars, and moving to different houses! I guess that's what a true friend is!
Jordan's B-Day
Jordan turned the big 2-9 on July 5, and we celebrated with my family up at Jordanelle Reservoir. We had alot of fun camping...but it was STINKIN' HOT!!!
He got the smoothie maker he's been asking for since we got married (courtesy of Karen & Dick)! And he's made some yummy smoothies during the past couple weeks!
I got Jordan tickets to the concert he'd been (not so slyly) hinting at...George Strait!
Jordan loved seeing "The Legend" in concert, and if it weren't for the "I'm 21!" drunk fest going on in front of us, the night would have been pretty close to perfect!
We also had a couple friends from the ward over for birthday party #2 and I attempted Jordan's favorite cake...chocolate with marshmallow frosting. After the failed first attempt at the frosting, one of my friends took over the second time, and the frosting turned out perfectly! Thanks, Kristin! The birthday partying will continue in a few days when Jordan's out in California visiting his family! There's something to be said about having multiple families!
And to my husband...
You're looking better than ever, lover! I love you and am excited to spend our futures together! Here's to another 29+!
